Tanganyika

We had a nice day last week that allowed us to get out
as a family and do something fun together.
The zoo was filled with about 2.5 million people
so we opted for something smaller, and cooler.
Tanganyika
It's only 50 cents more than the zoo, and you are able
to interact with and feed most of the animals.
Good for a one time trip, but if you've seen it once
you've seen it all.

We were able to feed these cool birds.
LOVE their colors.

This little guy stayed busy trying to pounce on the poor
worker that was trying to give him water.

This was by far my favorite part.
You can interact and feed the kangaroos.
Judah loved it. The little joey's were so cute.
This one, of many, actually, was asleep.
Or tanning.
Judah really liked getting in with the tortoises.
Though, I have to say, I thought they were nasty.
Slightly stinky, and that sand is just a glorified cat box.
Or tortoise box.
If you have seen Madagascar, you will be thrilled to know
they have Lemurs...
...and the Dreaded Fossa.
It was highly entertaining to watch them hop and swing about.
When we came near they got into a "lemur ball", where they
all gather togther and cover themselves with their tails so you can only see their eyes.
Pretty stinking cute.

Cool pics - I love Zoo trips (minus the stinky cages).

Do they let people like Abe in Tanganyika? Or do they make them wear handcuffs?
